The Role
As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for the evaluation and testing of new or upgraded software systems and products. You will maintain quality assurance objectives to maximize product reliability and safety as well as participate in defining and/or updating quality assurance policies and procedures.
Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (GibbsCAM)
Based at: Pune - Maharashtra – India (Work from office)
Areas of responsibility:
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create and execute automated test scripts.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Seek and recommend creative ways to improve product and processes.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers, product management and tech support) to identify system requirements.
- Consult with managers and/or team on project status, proposals, and technical issues.
Main Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in quality / industrial / manufacturing / mechanical engineering
- 5 or more years of experience in CAD/CAM software quality assurance, test and integration and a passion for finding bugs.
- Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Strong time management skills and clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience working with CAD, CAM, CNC, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Some CAD solid modeling experience, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA etc.
- Previous experience in developing new custom software testing utilities or updating existing, required for automation of tasks.
- Conventional and CNC Set up and Machining experience.
- G-Code knowledge is a plus, knowledge of applications such as VeriCUT is also a plus.
- Highly organized with critical attention to detail & the ability to be creative.
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Manufacturing knowledge. Production, Job Shop, Prototype, Swiss
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
